Air Berlin has a fleet size of more than 50 aircraft, is one of the youngest fleets in the industry and boasts an annual turnover exceeding one billion euros. In a recent independent passenger survey conducted by the London-based consultancy Skytrax, the airline was announced Europe’s best low-cost carrier.
In Spain:
Air Berlin is the largest foreign airline in Spain with daily flights to Alicante, Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Seville and Valencia. If your don Quijote language course is in Salamanca, you can fly to Madrid. (A shuttle service departs every hour to Salamanca). If you are learning Spanish in Granada, you can take a flight to Malaga.
From England:
Air Berlin offers daily flights from London to Palma de Majorca with connecting flights to the Spanish mainland. Upon checking in at Stansted airport in the morning (departure at 10:45) you will receive your boarding cards for the entire outbound journey and your luggage will be labelled and sent to your final destination in Spain.
From North America:
If you are travelling from the USA or Canada, there are many ways of connecting with Air Berlin. If you fly via transatlantic hubs like Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Munich, Düsseldorf or Berlin, Air Berlin can then take you to directly to Spain.

Air Berlin offers flights to the Spanish mainland starting from £ 19 / € 29 including all taxes, surcharges and onboard service (a meal plus non alcoholic drinks and newspapers). The system of daily flights and one way fares allows you to plan your journey exactly how you want it. Combining cities can be a good option, for example; you could fly to Barcelona and return from Madrid.
Full service:
While you are living and learning in Spain, you may decide to extend your stay or change the airport you had planned on returning from. Our call centres (in Spain, England and Germany) can be reached around the clock through local numbers and service desks are available at all the airports we fly to. Special meals, help for less able passengers and our family service is free of charge. Taking extra sports baggage like golf or diving equipment up to 30 kg. is also free.
